After many years of research and writing, I’m excited to announce the publication of my new book Crazy Horse: Where My Dead Lie Buried. It is a work of historical fiction that follows the Lakota war chief Crazy Horse from the Battle of the Greasy Grass (Little Bighorn) until his death 14 months later at Camp Robinson, Nebraska. During this time, Crazy Horse battles the U.S. Army, his wife’s sickness, and even his own people. It is a moving story of a man who was not only a feared warrior, but also a husband, a grieving father, and, at times, a reluctant leader.

If you live in the Bozeman, Montana, area, you are invited to join me for a book release party on April 27, 2018, at 14 North in downtown Bozeman. We’ll have some cake and drinks to celebrate the new book, and we’ll also give a short talk on Crazy Horse and answer any questions you might have. It will be an evening to celebrate, but to also keep alive the memory of the man most Lakota Indians still consider to be their greatest warrior ever.
